I am a qualified graphic designer and illustrator based in Perth Western Australia. I enjoy the challenge of creating and designing art for a purpose and helping a client meet their desired outcome. Illustration is my specialty however I am often employed for my corporate skills and ocassionally advertising. I have experience designing and uploading websites in Dreamweaver and have also studied packaging design. I am proficient in the latest Adobe CS3 software along with Corel Painter and Microsoft Office.
My work is vibrant and has been stated as having a "lovely light exuberant quality" by Mike Rigoll who illustrated for The West Australian. I am an efficient worker and I was commended by Mary Rayner from The Australian Reptile Park as "excelling in a very short time frame"; in regards to a series of banners, signs and flyers designed for the park.
I am a very good communicator; visually, verbally and in writing and I can accept and give constructive criticism.
I have completed a Visual art degree and had a lot of fun creating experimental art in the printmaking and painting studios. This has enabled me to keep my ideas unique and fresh and has been beneficial in my illustration work. I enjoy working in a range of mediums by hand, particularly inks, coloured pencils, acrylics and pastel, bascially whatever can communicate my idea in the best way. I also like to use digital illustration techniques to enhance aspects of my drawings or to create vector art.
My dream would be to illustrate and publish children's books. I am interested in creating illustrative work for museums, zoos, educatiional institutions, greeting card companies and individuals. I am also available for fine art commissions. I have completed a Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) and have taught art, media studies, digital photography and ceramics and have been involved in the set up of an art department. I am open to feedback about my work and am flexible in my approach. So if you like what you see, email me at or give me a call on 0410 709 408. |
